blue sky stuff promotes chosen projects with passion:-

……

WeForest is an international  non-profit organization promoting worldwide permaculture-based reforestation to combat climate changethrough increased cloud cover. We also promote scientific research on cloud nucleation (bio-precipitation). www.weforest.com

We plant forests and support local communities with our expertise to restore degraded land  while fighting poverty, water shortage and  soil erosion. Our short video says it all: http://bit.ly/2HxoXn

We are currently established in Switzerland and in Belgium.

We are also creating a global movement to restore and reforest 20 million km² of degraded land and would like you to join us in this! Organizations that have already joined us are for example the Nobel Charitable Trust.

What makes us different ?

You must see the forest growing not just the trees! Forests are holistic systems that are the cornerstone of the biosphere: they seed clouds;  tropical forest trees grow faster and absorb more CO2.

  • We grow Clouds: a 2% increase in clouds could halt current Global Warming in its track long enough for the “low carbon energy miracle” to happen.
  • We grow Food: 1 acre of permaculture designed forest garden can power 10 people, whereas 1 acre of wheat  less than 5. Ending poverty and hunger will end one of the root causes of deforestation.
  • We grow Life:  restoring balance to the biosphere, hydrosphere and atmosphere while making precious fertile  soils and boosting biodiversity.

What is our vision?

We believe that in order to reach the ambitious objective of 20 million km² of forest by 2020,  the world must become an effective and preserving network  engaging  individuals, corporations, NGO’s,  scientists, governments and media.

What would it mean if humanity can profit from halting climate change? Bill gates recently said we need a technological miracle and we need it on a pretty tight deadline. WeForest  has created a movement that is working to answer this vital question right now until the ‘low carbon miracle’ happens.
