blue sky stuff is proud to present its first Actors Workshop for men and boys ( fathers, sons, grandfathers, guardians, etc – with a focus on fun, exploration and bonding ) with David Richard, a Hollywood trained and experienced actor, see his biography below
the 3 hour workshop will cover a variety of stuff, be fun and formative, and take place on and around a stage . a small fee of 10 euros per jugend to go towards living costs and flights. minimum 10 kids maximum 20. ages 10-13
david is active in vienna with his schools program, and has over 200 performances with kids to his credit.
It is planned to run the workshop first in Mödling ” Happiest city on Earth” at Buhne Mayer – and perhaps then in Vienna
The workshop program, here is the description of the class:
“ENGLISH THEATRE WORKSHOP: Relax, we are going to have fun. My workshop is for everybody – whatever level of English you speak is good enough for me. We will start with some simple and easy scenes to get “warmed up”. All of the scenes we work on will be comedy. I use plenty of repetition and the scenes are short, oder “kurz”.
If you speak English well, I will challenge you and give you more words to speak. If you don’t speak English well - kein problem - after an hour, you will speak English “besser”.
The workshop is designed with the goal of “performing” what we work on during class. There will be some singing and dancing, so wear comfortable clothes – jeans/shorts and t-shirts. My goal is for fathers and sons to enjoy spending time together having fun playing together on stage.
The workshop is high-energy and I work fast. There is nothing to read and memorize. All of the scenes are written by me and learned by speaking and repeating, speaking and repeating. I guarantee my workshop will be fun and entertaining”

David Richard’s “BIO”:
Raised in Philadelphia. Graduated from East Stroudsburg University – in Pennsylvania, with a degree in Communications.
Studied acting in Los Angeles for 5 years after college. Wrote, produced and directed several stage productions in Hollywood. Performed “stand-up comedy” on the Sunset Strip. Appeared as an actor in various small-budget films, as well as commercials and a few national television appearances. I was a pre-school teacher in Beverly Hills to pay the bills.
Spent two years in New York City as a teacher. I lived one year in Manhattan, the other year in Brooklyn.
Flew to Vienna August, 2001, and fell in love with Austria. Created my business, “English Theatre mit David Richard”, the same year. The students in my classes have performed for audiences here in Vienna over 200 times at many schools, including Wiener Sanger Knaben, Kollegium Kalksburg and St. Ursula.
I own a flat in Stadlau, my lovely wife Sabine owns me, and I have the most beautiful 3 year old daughter in the world.

“Performing on stage in front of an audience is 100% pure excitement. Being nervous only adds to the fun and energy one experiences on stage. No matter what age you are, you can experience this thrill and feel great about yourself afterwards.
