Ein Projekt zur Bekämpfung von Hunger und Arbeitslosigkeit
„Uwezo“ ist das Swahili-Wort für„Fähigkeit“
Die Farm liegt in der Nähe von Thika, nördlich von Kenia, und soll bedürftige Menschen befähigen, ihre Lebensumstände zu verbessern, indem sie sich selbst mit Nahrungsmitteln versorgen und zusätzlich Einnahmen für den Lebensunterhalt ihrer Familien erzielen.
blue sky stuff project plan / ideas for cooperation/collaboration:-
raise awareness for project in Vienna. make a film of the project and show it here in bike powered kino events, at burgkino like “the economics of happiness” and in company events as part of the “2012 – year of happiness” project.
build internet access infrastructure for the project. pilot a bike powered WLAN in Vienna, and ship one out to the project. build a community of people in vienna linked to a community of people in Kenya. regular communications – fb, xing, skype etc enable the connections to grow in a facilitated manner, bringing wider understanding of each others lives, challenges and happiness.
raise funds for project. create an indiegogo project ( with “peace is the way” ) . in january – 31 moments of happiness auctioned under new program, with funds used to build IT infrastructure in Kenya. enable funds transfer from those who have to those who could benefit, one to one, a personal touch.
run exchange program, where people travel and stay with their friends from the other location
