“IN the PINK” – In the earliest citations from the 16th century, the phrase “In the Pink” meant to be at the very pinnacle of a moment or event. Today, it is most commonly used to mean in perfect condition especially in relationship to health. The project, In the Pink: the million people art project is a call for the global community at this fragile yet pinnacle moment in our collective history to come together in partnership, creativity and passion to create a healthier, more perfect condition for themselves and  others.

This project has roots in a concept slogan from the 1970’s; “THINK globally, ACT locally.” As global consciousness increases through the expansion of technology, it is easier than ever before to imagine how we are all connected and perhaps easier to see and understand how small thoughtful acts can make a world of change- turning problems into opportunities for global solutions.

Born in Washington D.C., Connie Noyes currently lives and works as a full time artist in Chicago. She received her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and her Masters Degree in Psychology from Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont California. She recently completed her 50th lifetime move. She is a nomad.

Through study, travel and her obsession with diverse experiences she developed an interest in the unconscious psychology of culture. It was during residencies in a number of vastly divergent cultures, Dubai, South Africa, Bulgaria, Western Europe, Brazil and Tunisia that it became obvious how artists are able to utilize the language of art to bridge or by-pass cultural differences. The artists she worked with and continues relationships with came to know each other in intimate connected ways – as humans without labels.

In 2006 Noyes was instrumental in bringing about the exhibition July 2006 in Paris at Europia Gallerie. The exhibition centered on artists’ response to the violence between Lebanon and Israel of that year. In 2008 she curated an exhibition at California Institute of Integral Studies with the international group of painters Pintura Fresca and in 2009 began the organization A.R.G. -Artists Respond Globally. She organized and mounted an exhibition in 2010 during Chicago Artists month titled In My Own Backyard I Can See The World for A.R.G. Eight Chicago artists were paired with eight International artists and worked collaboratively on themes of their choice. Her personal artwork has been featured in numerous solo exhibitions and collections worldwide including London, Florence, Paris, San Francisco, Washington DC, Dubai, Veliko Turnova, Bulgaria and Bangi, Malaysia. Her current project, In the Pink: the 1,000,000 people art project is the culmination of her interests and experiences

Whether she is painting, photographing, or constructing, Noyes’ creations are inspired by the irregular shapes and involved lines that dance through her mind’s eye and that she integrates into alluring patterns through disciplined composition.

Noyes is at her best when she goes full tilt, layering her surfaces and compounding forms into dense abstractions that draw the viewer into the complex interconnections that she stages. Although Noyes’ productions are suggestive of emotion and meaning, they work primarily on a perceptual, rather than a psychological or conceptual level, by beckoning the viewer into the systems of incomplete order that emerge from the moment of “chaos” in her creative process.

working with Phil under the banner of the Fantastic Happiness Festival we ran a great workshop on Saturday with some incredible output, and are now looking to run further workshops both for teenagers and adults

First Tuesday and Vienna Hub were/are both “things” – real people / virtual stuff – focussed on creating value. In 2008 I started Blue Sky Stuff, a verein in Mödling. The plan is to channel money into the verein by running projects of value to run more projects of value in a sustainable fashion. Lots of projects. Lots of  places. Each as a profit centre – unique, scalable and sustainable.

One string of Blue Sky Stuff is the non-profit coaching and consulting. World class coaches gifting their skills and experience to projects where they can add value. ( For-profits are also welcome to engage them on fee and commission basis through Vienna Hub ) .  Another string is the Academy, offering world class education through a network of trusted partners. Education is a right, not a privelege, and we will strive to make it available to all. Initial focus on language training, ICT training, and management education ( both junior and senior)  - with emphasis on blended learning.   More info here
